OWL API Components

The OWL API is an open-source Java API and reference implementation for building, manipulating and serialising OWL ontologies. It is primarily maintained by the University of Manchester but developed from different institutions (incl. derivo GmbH)

SPARQL-DL

The SPARQL-DL API is our efficient Java-based implementation of the SPARQL-DL query language for arbitrary reasoning systems supporting the OWL API.

OWLlink API

The OWLlink API is our Java-based API and reference implementation of the OWLlink protocol on top of the OWL API. The OWLlink API enables OWL API-based applications to access remote reasoners (so-called OWLlink servers), and it turns any OWL API aware reasoner into an OWLlink server.
